List of Wolfpack 2010 player candidates

Below is the list of Wolfpack candidates, ranked as A and B. All players should by now have heard of their nomination. If you have not, then please contact the Wolfpack coaching staff by email through this site. There are several quality players who are not on this list – those are players who have clearly indicated that they are not available.

All players are asked to give an indication of availability by Tuesday, 22 December. Indicate if you are interested, unavailable or not sure. A number of players have already done this, and their responses are appreciated.

The other point to keep in mind is that the TESTING DAY will be moved to Saturday, January 23.

Change to the Wolfpack 2010 Coaching staff

Coach John Pongrac (west Sydney Pirates / GNSW Wolfpack) has decided to announce his retirement from coaching. After two decades plus of contributing to the league and the sport, as well as achieving success at the highest levels, John has decided that there are other things in his life that deserve fuller attention. I’m sure you’ll join me in wishing John every success in the future and also thank him for his enormous contribution to gridiron in Australia.

This retirement vacates the role of Offensive Coordinator for Wolfpack. After much thought, it was decided that Ian Taylor should fill the role. Already Head Coach Dunne has been working ‘hands on’ with the offense and Ian’s contribution as Receivers coach makes him a good fit for the position.

This appointment has the support of Rocco, Miro, the Wolfpack coaches and the league executive. Congratulations, Ian!

President – GNSW
