Division 1 – Tiebreak Rules

With the sticky end of the season just about to hit..the big question is where will everone finish on the ladder.

With lots of teams finishing on the same win/loss record, it will come right down to the last round in some instances

With that in mind, here are the office TieBreak Rules

Competition Points System

Playoff positions are determined using the following criteria:

• Percentage
• Head to Head
• Best three [3] ranked victories
• Win / Loss record against the three [3] highest ranked teams that each has commonly played
• Highest differential against the three [3] highest ranked teams each has commonly played
• Pure differential against all common teams played
• Coin toss – last resort

Round 6 Results and Standings

With round 6 completed the competition ladder is starting to bed down with the top 6 teams trying to secure their spots before the week 9 cutoff.

In Round 6

Wollongong Mustangs got their first win of the season in front of their home crowd, surprising an unprepared Outlaws unit for a 26 to 18 defeat

The second game in Wollongong saw no real surprise as UTS rolled over a depleated Raiders travelling squad 43 – 14

The sydney games saw the two top teams put in business like performances with no real surprises:

Seahawks defeating Predators 40 – 13 in game one

The Lions posted the highest score of the season with an 84 – 0 win over the debutant Sharks
